OVERTON, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that claimed the life of a Henderson man on a motorcycle on State Route 169 near Overton about 60 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
The Clark County coroner identified the victim on Monday as 57-year-old Michael Owen.
NHP Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel says rescue crews were called to the crash near mile marker 8 shortly after 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Owen was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle. No other vehicles were involved and investigators say they don't know what caused the wreck.
A stretch of the highway's southbound lanes about 25 miles east of U.S. Interstate 15 was closed in both directions for a few hours.
