WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington's Wizards are looking to take a 3-1 lead in their best of seven NBA playoff series with the Hawks tonight. This evening's game is being played in Washington and no matter the result the series will shift back to Atlanta for Game 5 Wednesday night.

OAKLAND (AP) — Golden State, by far the top team in the NBA all season long, is on the verge of going down three games to one in their best of seven NBA Western Conference playoff semifinal with Memphis. The Grizzlies have won two of the first three games and tonight they try to take a 3-1 lead on the home court with the fifth game back in Oakland in two nights.

UNDATED (AP) — The scene is set for the NHL's Western Conference final. The Ducks advanced to the Stanley Cup semifinal with a 3-2 overtime win over Calgary yesterday in the fifth game of that series. The Blackhawks advanced with a four game sweep of Minnesota.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Rickie Fowler was the winner of yesterday's Players Championship in a four-hole playoff with Kevin Kisner (KIHZ'-nur). The playoff began with Sergio Garcia involved but he was eliminated on the third hole. Fowler trailed by five shots with six holes left in regulation before a birdie-eagle-birdie-birdie finish to his final round.

PARIS (AP) — For the first time in 10 years, Rafael Nadal (rah-fay-ehl nah-DAHL') has dropped out of the top five in the ATP rankings. Nadal lost in the final of the Madrid Masters yesterday for his fourth loss on clay, his favorite surface, this season. Novak Djokovic (NOH'-vak JOH'-kuh-vich) remains No. 1 with Roger Federer second and Andy Murray third.
