ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Batti Man won the $60,000 feature for older horses by 1 3/4 lengths Friday at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Hall of Famer Mike Smith, Batti Man ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:41.75 and paid $12.80, $4.80 and $3.80 at 5-1 odds.
You Know I Know returned $5.80 and $3.20, while Bailoutbobby was another 1 1/4 lengths back in third and paid $2.60 to show.
Govenor Charlie, the 4-5 favorite, finished fourth in the field of six in his first race in a year.
The victory, worth $36,000, increased Batti Man's career earnings to $223,234, with four wins in 31 starts.
