CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Indians have signed former All-Star closer Carlos Marmol to a minor league contract.

The 32-year-old righty reported Friday to the Indians' player development complex in Goodyear, Arizona.

Marmol was 0-3 with an 8.10 ERA in 15 games for Miami last season. He was signed by Cincinnati in May and released in November.

Marmol is 23-35 with 117 saves in nine major league seasons. He made the NL All-Star team in 2010 while posting a career-high 38 saves for the Chicago Cubs.
