CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — Students want their next president to stick around, understand the university's culture, and represent diversity.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1P5XSmn) the Associated Students of the UW gave input earlier this week to the five trustees in charge of the search.

Trustees formed the search committee after president Dick McGinity announced he would not be returning to the university next year.

The faculty senate met with trustees earlier in the day, and students mirrored a desire for candidates from minority groups to apply.

Feedback from faculty and staff will be presented next week to the board of trustees.
