NEW YORK (AP) — The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour will hold a tournament in Manhattan for the first time.
The AVP New York City Open will be held July 16-19 at Hudson River Park's Pier 26/25 along Lower Manhattan's West Side.
The AVP announced the site Tuesday as the second stop on its 2015 schedule.
Olympic gold medalists Kerri Walsh Jennings, Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers are among the players expected to take part.
The AVP has come to Brooklyn before, but this is the first foray into Manhattan.
