GARDEN CITY, Idaho (AP) — A Garden City woman wants answers and accountability after her grandson handed her a gun that police say was dumped there by a Wyoming man charged with armed robbery.
KBOI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1EQhxQx) Vicki Talbert asked her grandson to turn on the faucet in her front yard so she could water her flowers, and he handed her a gun he spotted instead.
Police say 24-year-old Allen Newman is suspected of robbing a convenience store and tossing the weapon in Talbert's nearby yard. Newman is scheduled for a Monday court appearance on charges that include armed robbery.
