CLEVELAND (AP) — Indians outfielder Michael Bourn has been scratched from Saturday's lineup because of a cervical strain.

Bourn slid headfirst into the plate Friday trying to score from first base on Mike Aviles' double. He was called safe, but the play was overturned on a replay challenge by Toronto manager John Gibbons.

Bourn remained in the game and was in Saturday's lineup before being removed about 45 minutes before the first pitch.

Bourn is batting .202 in 21 games and was moved from leadoff to ninth in the batting order last week. Tyler Holt took Bourn's place in Saturday's lineup.
