LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Derby is being run early this evening. With the scratch of International Star earlier in the day the field consists of just 18 horses. Today's race is No. 141 in Derby history.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — It's fight day in Las Vegas. Coming up tonight the two best middleweights in the world will square off for a lot of money. In one corner is unbeaten Floyd Mayweather and in the other the 57-5-and-2 Manny Pacquiao (PAK'-ee-ow). This is a matchup fight fans have been longing for for years.

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Rangers successfully bounced back from that gut-wrenching loss to the Capitals in the first game of their playoff series with a 3-2 win. The Caps won the opener in New York with a last-second goal but in Game 2 the Rangers scored early for the lead.

TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) — Jeff Gordon will have the pole for tomorrow's Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway. The pole, the 80th of his career, put him on the front row with Kasey Kahne (kayn). Gordon, a six-time winner at Talladega, turned a lap at 194.793 mph to earn the top starting spot.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — On an exciting night of sports there's also a Game 7 in an NBA playoff series. In Los Angeles the Clippers are playing host to the defending league champion Spurs in the final game of that first-round series. The Clippers forced the deciding game with a win in San Antonio two nights ago.
