WASHINGTON (AP) — Goalie Bill Hamid has agreed to a multiyear contract extension with D.C. United.
The MLS club announced the deal Friday night.
Hamid has 33 shutouts in 120 starts over six seasons with D.C. United.
He also has played for the U.S. national team.
The 24-year-old Hamid finished 2014 as the only goalie to finish the MLS regular season in the top three in shutouts (10), goals-against average (1.13) and save percentage (75.3).
In May 2010, at age 19, he became the youngest goalie to win an MLS game.
