METAIRIE, La. (AP) — The Saints are slated to pick three times during Friday's second and third rounds of the NFL draft and can still use help on defense and at receiver or tight end.
New Orleans still hasn't picked an edge pass-rusher, something they could use after their defense ranked 23rd in the NFL sacks per pass attempt in 2014.
Coach Sean Payton also could be seeking another passing target after trading away tight end Jimmy Graham and receiver Kenny Stills this offseason.
The Saints have pick in the second round in two in the third.
New Orleans made Stanford offensive tackle Andrus Peat its top pick on Thursday night at 13th overall, then used its second first-round pick — the 31st overall — on Clemson inside linebacker Stephone Anthony.
