ESPN's Monica Gonzalez added to Fox's Women's WCup coverage

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Former Mexican national team captain Monica Gonzalez will be part of Fox's studio coverage for this year's Women's World Cup.

Gonzalez has worked for ESPN for since September 2011 and will return to her regular role at ESPN after the tournament.

Fox said Thursday it also will use former players Christine Latham (Canada), Kelly Smith (England), Ariane Hingst (Germany) to its studio coverage, which will be hosted by Fox's Rob Stone and Sky Sports' Kate Abdo.

Former American players Heather Mitts, Angela Hucles and Leslie Osborne also will be part of the studio coverage along with Fox commentators Eric Wynalda, Alexi Lalas and Joe Machnik.
