(KSL News) Just as open burning season closes, a field in South Salt Lake catches fire.
The fire started in a field along the Jordan Parkway near a power substation.
Crews quickly worked to get the fire under control so it wouldn't burn the substation down. Wind made it difficult for crews to fight the blaze, but they were able to get it under control.
The blaze charred about 30 acres. The cause is under investigation.
