MOAB, Utah (AP) -- Team Nike/PowerBlast is the winner of the 2006 Primal Quest.

The four members of the team were the first across the finish line today, ending a 450-mile adventure race over six days in the mountains, desert and canyons of southeastern Utah.

Mike Kloser, Ian Adamson, Monique Merrill and Michael Tobin paddled across the finish on the Colorado River around 5:45 a-m. The race started June 25 with a leg of horseback riding through the desert and also included kayaking, mountain biking, river swimming and rock climbing.

Team Nike/PowerBlast slept about 13 hours over the six days finished about 45 minutes ahead of second-place Team GoLite/Timberland.

The race will continue through Tuesday as the rest of the 89 teams that entered and were still on course made their way to the finish northeast of Moab.
