(KSL News) Forget the pool this summer, the first splash pad in Salt Lake County opened today.

The splash pad is located at the Kennecott-Magna Outdoor Swimming Pool at 3270 S. 8400 West.

There is no standing water, so there's no need for lifeguards.

The splash pad uses heated water and has interactive features.

The water is re-circulated and the pad offers something for everyone with age-appropriate areas.
