BOSTON (AP) — A Rhode Island woman has sued the for-profit college she attended in Boston alleging that weak security measures allowed an intruder to enter her dorm room and sexually assault her.

The woman says in the suit filed April 2 in Suffolk Superior Court that a man who was not a student at New England Institute of Art tried to rape her after a security guard "allowed the nonresident assailant to enter the living area."

The Boston Globe (http://bit.ly/1JK2o3q ) reports that the woman says in the suit she suffered "serious physical and psychological" injuries. She is seeking unspecified damages from the college and the owner of the building.

The landlord's attorney could not be reached.

A spokeswoman for the company that owns the college said it was looking into the claims.
