OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) — A woman arrested in Las Vegas in March and accused of embezzling more than $363,000 from an Ocean Springs real estate firm is back in Mississippi.
Ocean Springs Police Capt. Chuck Jackson tells The Mississippi Press (http://bit.ly/1HYTOwz ) that 47-year-old Diane Lynn Williams arrived in Ocean Springs Thursday after waiving an extradition hearing in Las Vegas.
Jackson says Williams is in the city awaiting an initial court appearance. It is not known if she has an attorney.
Jackson says Williams is accused of taking the money from Gulf Coast Realty between Dec. 7, 2012 and Jan. 23, 2015. He says the company reported the theft.
Jackson says Williams fled to Henderson, Nevada, where she was arrested in March.
