EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Executives with Disney and Dow Chemical are scheduled to speak at Michigan State University's commencement ceremonies.
The East Lansing school says Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek and Dow Chemical CEO Andrew Liveris are speakers at the May 8 events.
Chapek, a Michigan State University alumnus, will address undergraduates at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center. He will receive an honorary doctorate of business.
Also at that ceremony, Daniel Loepp, president and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, will receive an honorary doctorate of business. Carlotta LaNier, president of the Little Rock Nine Foundation, will receive an honorary doctorate of laws.
Later that day, Liveris will address advanced degree candidates at the Breslin Center. He will receive an honorary doctorate of engineering.
