JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is urging world powers to step up the pressure on Iran as the parties try to finalize a nuclear deal in the coming months. He says there's still time to improve what he says is a deeply flawed framework agreement reached last week. Netanyahu appeared on multiple U.S. TV news programs on Sunday to make his point.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is defending the recently agreed to framework that could lead to a permanent deal to curb Tehran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief. Obama tells The New York Times it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to prevent a bomb and bring security to the Middle East. He also reiterates that the U.S. will continue to defend Israel.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Greece's finance minister says his country will repay a loan from the International Monetary Fund that's due this week. He met Sunday with IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde in Washington for an "informal discussion" on the debt-stricken nation's reform program. Greece is in difficult negotiations with creditors over its multi-billion dollar bailout program.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — As California endures a fourth year of drought, Gov. Jerry Brown is defending his order of mandatory water cutbacks statewide that doesn't restrict farmers. Brown tells ABC that farmers are already denied irrigation water from federal surface supplies and have had to leave hundreds of thousands of acres unplanted, costing many farmworkers their jobs.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — UConn will face Notre Dame for the NCAA women's basketball title on Tuesday night in a rematch of last season's championship game. Breanna Stewart scored 25 points and Morgan Tuck added 24 to lead UConn to an 81-58 win over Maryland in the Final Four on Sunday, leaving the Huskies one win away from a third straight national championship.
