(KSL News) Man pleads guilty in connection with gambling operation

William C. Homan entered a plea to a charge of gambling promotion; four other charges were dismissed.

Homan must pay a $500 fine and stay out of trouble for 18 months. If he does, the conviction will disappear from his record.

In January, Salt Lake County sheriff's deputies raided Homan's Mouse Pad Internet Cafe in Millcreek.

The sheriff's office went into the place undercover after seeing what KSL had caught on hidden camera -- customers playing games, winning and losing but never going online.
