SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Doctors at Utah's state mental hospital are proceeding with a judge's order to forcibly medicate the woman charged with the 2002 kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart.

Utah State Hospital administrator Dallas Earnshaw says he can't disclose further details about specific treatment for Wanda Eileen Barzee, including whether the treatment has begun.

Earnshaw says doctors should known within a month whether Barzee is responding to treatment.

A temporary stay blocking the order to begin medicating Barzee was lifted Friday, five days after the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a request from Barzee's attorneys to review the case.

Arrested in 2003, Barzee has twice been found incompetent for trial. In 2006 a 3rd District judge said Barzee met the criteria for forced medication. The ruling was upheld by Utah's Supreme Court.
