LEHI — Police are investigating a Saturday morning traffic accident that left a bicyclist dead.

The accident happened just after 10:30 a.m. near 2600 North and 1200 West. The 37-year-old rider was apparently near the end of a ride with a team of about 50 bicyclists when she collided with the semitruck, police said.

Several of the woman's teammates witnessed the collision and have spoken with investigators.

Police said the semitruck and the bicyclist were both traveling north, and neither seemed to be distracted when the crash happened.

The name of the cyclist was not released Saturday. So far, no citations have been issued.
