SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The north marina at Willard Bay State Park will be closed until officials complete the search for a missing boater.

KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/18Xm6vz) that the search continued Wednesday morning for 45-year-old Matthew Rasmussen. He was last seen leaving his Morgan home on Sunday to go fishing on the Great Salt Lake in Box Elder County.

Rasmussen launched his boat around 8 a.m. and was reported missing at 8:30 p.m. Officials found his boat still running on Sunday but no sign of Rasmussen.

Rescue teams from surrounding counties, Willard Bay State Park, the Department of Public Safety and Life Flight have been searching the 10,000 square surface acres of water.

Willard Bay is located about 50 miles north of Salt Lake City. The south marina will remain open during the search.
