MILLCREEK — Jordan and Cassandra Allred are pleading for whoever stole a video camera out of their home to return it because of the priceless pictures and videos it contained.
The couple said there are pictures and videos of a welcome home party for their 6-week-old daughter, Tessa, when she met her brother and two sisters for the first time in her life.
Tessa, her mother said, had open-heart surgery 10 days after she was born and was back in the hospital Friday with a virus. She was only home for about a week and a half.
“I don’t think there’s a more gut-wrenching feeling than that — to lose photos and videos of your children — those little moments that you can’t get back,” Cassandra said. “[It’s] a punch to the gut for sure.
Jordan Allred said there were only a few brief times during the day Thursday that nobody was home, and the couple didn’t realize anything was wrong until about 11 p.m.

“[We] went up to our bedroom where we hadn’t been all day, and it was torn up,” he said.
Initially, the couple said they believed their other three children were responsible for messing up the room, but they soon realized their home had been burglarized.
Cassandra said she believed the burglars entered through a back door.
“It appeared to us that they were possibly seasoned, because they knew right where to go,” she said.
In addition to the Sony HDR-CX150 Handycam, the burglars also made off with jewelry.
“Maybe they’ll watch (this report) and see what’s on there and maybe return it to our family,” Cassandra said.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said there were no witnesses and there was no evidence left in the home.
