WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) — A forum on opioid addiction is set at Wheeling Jesuit University.
The university's Appalachian Institute is sponsoring the event Tuesday night at the Center for Educational Technologies Building.
The discussion will feature psychiatrists from the ROOTS treatment clinic in Wheeling. It will focus on understanding the psychological, physical, spiritual and emotional impact addiction has on an individual and the society.
The event also will allow people to ask questions and discuss a community-centered support system for those affected by addiction.
