CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Registration is open to the Governor's Internship Program, which assists college students snare summer jobs.
Students are placed in internships where they can gain experience related to their academic interests. The Internships are generally nine to 13 weeks. Pay depends upon the organization.
The placements are with West Virginia governmental agencies, private businesses and non-profits.
To qualify, a student must be enrolled at a West Virginia college or university or be a state resident attending the equivalent out-of-state institute of higher learning.
The student must also have completed at least one academic year by July 2015 and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
The application deadline is July 8.
