(KSL News) -- Fireworks sparked a brush fire near the University of Utah Medical Center overnight.
Officials say someone lit the fireworks behind the hospital. Sparks caught the grass on fire and flames spread close to a nearby parking lot filled with cars.
Smoke and flames could be seen all over the valley.
