(KSL News) A Magna woman is dead, a Murray woman critically injured after a car accident late last night.
Witnesses say the driver of a white car ran a red light on 3100 South at 8000 West and crashed into an oncoming purple car. Authorities say evidence at the scene indicates the driver of the white car was speeding.
Both women were seriously hurt and rushed to the hospital. The woman from the purple car died around 2:30 this morning. The other woman is in critical condition.
Authorities are investigating to see if drugs of alcohol were involved. They suspect the survivor may be a meth user.
