OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A judge is ordering an Ogden chiropractor to stand trial for inappropriately touching a patient.
A detective told a judge Monday that 30 women left voice messages with police reporting inappropriate interactions with Dr. Michael Wimmer after he was arrested in October.
Wimmer has pleaded not guilty to a single count of forcible sexual abuse.
Wimmer's attorney Russell Farr says he hasn't had an opportunity to investigate additional accusations and no other charges have been filed against his client.
Wimmer testified during Monday's preliminary hearing he squeezed a patient's rib cage, not her breasts, and demonstrated his treatment technique in court in an effort to disprove other claims against him.
His next hearing is March 11.
The Standard-Examiner reports (http://bit.ly/1JHZ6ld) the 67-year-old has been a chiropractor for 34 years.
