RENO, Nevada (AP) — Authorities say one person is dead after two cars hit head-on in southeast Reno.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports (http://on.rgj.com/1BGU2ce ) the Washoe County Sheriff's Office says the driver of a car that jumped the median and smashed into the other car died at the scene. Police say that person had a medical episode, which appears to have caused the crash.
The driver and a passenger in the other car are in critical condition at a hospital with severe injuries suffered in the incident.
Authorities have not released the names of the deceased or the injured.
The incident occurred in southeast Reno and caused partial road closures.
