CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A bill up for debate in the Nevada Legislature would let bar owners allow dogs in their businesses without interference from the government. The Senate Government Affairs Committee reviewed SB105 this afternoon. It's sponsored by Minden Republican Sen. James Settelmeyer. Settelmeyer said constituents in Virginia City requested the bill, which he said would allow businesses to carve out a niche catering to dog lovers. He also said it would address pet owners' concerns about leaving their animals in cold or hot cars.
