BOSTON (AP) — The bad weather in New England has claimed another sporting event. Today's Miami at Boston College basketball game has been postponed due snow and travel conditions. The game will be made up on Monday at a time yet to be determined. About 12-16 inches of snow feel in the area overnight.
UNDATED (AP) — In college basketball today fifth-ranked Wisconsin is the highest-ranked school in action. The 22-2 Badgers are home to Illinois. The rest of the schedule has seventh-ranked Arizona at Washington State, No. 11 Utah at home to California and 13th-ranked Northern Iowa at Missouri State.
NEW YORK (AP) — Madison Square Garden will serve as the venue for tonight's 64th NBA All-Star game. Following tonight's game featuring the best of the East against the best of the West, the league will take three more days off before play resumes with the regular season on Thursday.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — There's been a trade today between the Nashville Predators and Toronto Maple Leafs. The Predators, who lead the league with 82 points, acquired defenseman Cody Franson and forward Mike Santorelli for their first-round pick in June's draft along with forwards Brendan Leipsic and Olli Jokinen (OH'-lee YOH'-kih-nen).
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — The last round of the PGA's Pebble Beach Pro-Am is today with Jim Furyk (FYOOR'-ihk) starting the day in first place. He shot a third-round 9-under 63 to grab the lead after three rounds to stand 18-under-par, one shot in front of Matt Jones and Brandt Snedeker (SNEH'-deh-kur).
