MOSCOW (AP) — An epidemic of doping in Russian race walking has seen at least 22 athletes banned in the past decade, including world and Olympic champions. In the majority of cases, they shared a coach: Viktor Chegin. A list of Chegin-trained athletes who have served or are serving doping bans or who are under investigation:

Tatyana AKULINUSHKINA: Positive test in June 2013 for fenoterol, asthma medication that opens airways to the lungs. Six-month ban expired January 2014.
Sergey BAKULIN: Russian Anti-Doping Agency announced last month that Bakulin was among five race walkers — all with ties to Chegin — found with abnormal blood readings, using the so-called "biological passport" testing program run by track and field's governing body, the IAAF. Banned for three years and two months. RUSADA said ban started in December 2012 but failed to explain two-year delay in announcing it.
Valery BORCHIN: First banned for one year for positive test for stimulant ephedrine in 2005. Eight-year ban from October 2012 for abnormal blood passport readings.
Viktor BURAYEV: Among five of Chegin's walkers caught using banned blood booster EPO by surprise IAAF tests before 2008 Beijing Olympics. Served two-year ban to September 2010.
Petr BOGATYREV: Abnormal blood passport readings; two-year ban to October 2015.
Dementiy CHEPAREV: Two-year ban for fenoterol ended March 2014.
Stanislav EMELYANOV: Two-year ban for abnormal blood passport readings ended December 2014.
Igor EROKHIN: Life ban for abnormal blood passport readings in 2011, following two-year ban for EPO positive in 2008.
Vladimir KANAYKIN: Life ban from December 2012 for abnormal blood passport readings, following two-year ban for EPO positive in 2008.
Sergey KIRDYAPKIN: Banned for three years and two months from October 2012 for abnormal blood passport readings.
Olga KANISKINA: Banned for three years and two months from October 2012 for abnormal blood passport.
Elena LASHMANOVA: Two-year ban to February 2016 for using GW1516, black market chemical compound.
Mikhail LEMAYEV, distance runner: Two-year ban for abnormal blood passport readings ended January 2015.
Ekaterina MEDVEDEVA: Two-year ban for EPO ends June 2015.
Tatyana MINEEVA: Two-year ban for abnormal blood passport readings ended November 2014.
Sergey MOROZOV: Life ban for abnormal blood passport readings in 2011, following two-year ban for EPO positive in 2008.
Evgeniy PANTYUSHIN: RUSADA announced October 2014 his provisional suspension for positive test at Russian walking championship.
Andrey RUZAVIN: RUSADA announced October 2014 his provisional suspension, while anti-doping charge investigated.
Aleksey VOYEVODIN: Two-year ban for EPO use ahead of 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Also, German SKURYGIN: Stripped of 1999 World Championship and given 2-year-ban for positive test for hCG, a hormone, after winning 50-kilometer race. Died 2008 of heart attack, age 45.

Anatoly KUKUSHKIN: Two-year ban for carphedon use ended August 2010.
Nadezhda MOKEEVA: Two-year ban ends April 2016, for use of SARMs, compounds thought to stimulate muscle growth.
Irina YUMANOVA: Two-year ban, to April 2016, for use of SARMs.
