GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida has finally received a letter of intent from five-star recruit CeCe Jefferson, a 6-foot-2, 255-pound defensive end from Glen Saint Mary.
The Gators announced the addition of Jefferson on Monday, five days after national signing day.
Jefferson and his father had a difference of opinion about where to sign last week. It didn't help that Florida changed defensive line coaches after signing day, replacing NFL-bound Terrell Williams with Texas' Chris Rumph.
Jefferson brings Florida's signing class to 21 players, including two already enrolled in school.
Jefferson and offensive tackle Martez Ivey were the gems of the class, both five-star recruits expected to play immediately.
