NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Reginald Johnson scored 21 points, including four of the Pirates' final five in the last 1:11, to help lead Hampton to a 64-61 over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday.

With the game tied at 58 with a little more than a minute left, Johnson broke the tie with a layup and hit 1 of 2 at the line to give Hampton (9-14, 5-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) a three-point lead. After Maryland-Eastern Shore's Mike Myers cut the lead to two with a free throw, Johnson hit 1 of 2 again to put the game away. The Hawks had one final opportunity to tie, but Devin Martin missed from downtown.

Dwight Meikle added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Pirates, who have won nine straight against the Hawks and are 25-6 against them since moving to Division I in 1995.

Myers led Maryland-Eastern Shore (13-12, 6-4) with 18 points.
