NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Titans have waived right tackle Michael Oher after his first season in Tennessee ended early with him being placed on injured reserve.

The Titans announced the move Thursday.

Oher signed a four-year, $20 million contract in March 2014 with the Titans, bringing him back to his home state. He started the first 11 games at right tackle before he said he heard a pop in warmups at Houston on Nov. 30. He was placed on injured reserve Dec. 13 with a sore toe on his left foot.

He was scheduled to earn $4 million this season.

The Memphis native was a first-round draft pick by Baltimore in 2009. He started 91 straight games before getting hurt in November.
