OGDEN —Weber State defensive coordinator Justin Ena is leaving the Wildcats to become the linebackers coach at the University of Utah.
The news became official Monday, after Utah coach Kyle Whittingham announced his new staff hires in a press release from the institution.
Ena leaves Ogden after one season with the Wildcats, where he simultaneously served as both defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.
Prior to coaching at Weber State, Ena was the defensive coordinator at Southern Utah, where he helped lead the school to its first FCS playoff appearance in 2013. He also served as the team's special teams coach for two seasons.
