LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Earl Brown scored 18 points to go with 12 rebounds and Dominique Major sank the go-ahead 3-pointer to lift St. Francis (Pa) to a 68-63 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday.
Major, who finished with 10 points, made it 63-61 with his second 3 of the game with 1:32 left, and Ben Millaud-Meunier's free throw pushed the advantage to three. Fairleigh Dickinson's Mustafaa Jones cut the gap back to a point with a layup at the other end with 40 seconds to go, but Major padded the lead down the stretch with 4-for-4 shooting from the line.
Basil Thompson contributed 13 points and Greg Brown added 12 for St. Francis (12-9, 6-4 Northeast), which controlled the boards 35-30 and held a 22-11 edge in made free throws.
Marques Townes led Fairleigh Dickinson (7-14, 2-8) with 15 points, Darian Anderson added 14 and Jones finished with 10.
