RADFORD, Va. (AP) — Javonte Green scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds, R.J. Price added nine points with four assists, and Radford rallied to beat Winthrop 73-66 on Saturday to win its seventh straight.
Radford (16-7, 7-3 Big South) made 16 of 19 free throws and Green was 7 of 8 from the line.
Trailing 35-28 at halftime, Radford rallied to a 42-40 lead on a 3-pointer by Cameron Jones, then pulled ahead 51-43 on his layup. Xavier Cooks put the Eagles back on top 66-65 with a layup with 2:49 left, but Price and Green each hit jumpers and Green dunked for a 71-66 Radford lead with 23 seconds to go. Green added two free throws to seal it.
Keon Moore led Winthrop (11-10, 6-4) with 22 — his ninth 20-point game of the season — and Andre Smith had 14, including three 3-pointers.
The loss ends the Eagles' three-game winning streak.
