MACON, Ga. (AP) — Darious Moten scored 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting from the field to lead Mercer to a 74-72 victory over Chattanooga in overtime Thursday night.

Phillip Leonard hit 1 of 2 at the free throw line to send the game to overtime for Mercer (12-10, 7-2 Southern Conference), who opened the extra period on a 6-0 scoring stretch capped off by a Leonard layup. Casey Jones scored four consecutive points for Chattanooga to cut the lead to two, but the Mocs got no closer.

Ike Nwamu finished with 19 points and Leonard added 18 points and seven assists for the Bears, who have won four out of five.

Jones led the Mocs (14-8, 7-2) with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Greg Pryor added 21 points for Chattanooga, who lost for the first time this season when scoring more than 70 points.
