CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Keon Moore scored 22 points and Andre Smith scored all of his eight points in the final six minutes as Winthrop battled past Coastal Carolina 75-68 on Wednesday night.

Smith sank a pair of 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions, each on an assist from Moore, as Winthrop fought into the lead for good. Smith's first 3 put the Eagles up 59-57. His next, coming after a Warren Gillis jumper put Coastal Carolina up a point, made the score 62-59 Winthrop and the Eagles didn't trail again.

The Eagles (11-9, 6-3 Big South) made 9 of 12 free throws to put it away in the final 1:01.

Coastal Carolina (15-6, 6-3) was led by 18 points from Shivaughn Wiggins. Gillis and Badou Diagne added 13 each.

Moore and Derrick Henry hit back-to-back 3-pointers just before halftime, lifting Winthrop to a 35-34 lead. The Eagles made 8 of 18 3-point attempts.
