JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — A paraglider who crashed within the boundary of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has died.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (http://bit.ly/1uF1YZm ) 35-year-old Billy Baker crashed in the Tensleep Bowl on Wednesday afternoon and died at a Salt Lake City hospital Thursday night.

Baker was paragliding with a friend when he crashed into a cliff. Resort spokeswoman Anna Cole says the friend was able to fly down to Baker and call 911.

Teton County sheriff's deputy Doug Raffelson says Baker apparently "had a tension knot in a line and tried to free it and went into a spin" before crashing.

Baker was a ski instructor at the resort and a longtime member of the local paragliding fraternity.
