CLEVELAND (AP) — Trey Lewis scored 30 points on Friday night, and Cleveland State pulled out of a nine-point hole with 14 minutes left to beat Detroit 70-66.

The Vikings (12-9, 6-1 Horizon League) stretched a three-point lead with two minutes left to 64-55 on Lewis' free throws with 1:01 remaining. Detroit (10-11, 3-3) never threatened in the final minute.

Cleveland State trailed 45-36 with 12:39 left and pulled within one at 48-47 on Kenny Carpenter's jumper with 8:24 left. The Titans scored four straight to get their lead back to 52-47, but then the Vikings had a 9-0 run to take the lead for good.

Anton Grady added 15 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks for the Vikings, who stayed tied with Green Bay atop the league standings.

Paris Bass had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead Detroit. Juwan Howard Jr. added 14 points, Chris Jenkins scored 12 and Jarod Williams added 10.
