BRIGHAM CITY, Utah (AP) — A water main break in Brigham City has prompted the closure of a stretch of Main Street.
State transportation officials say they closed off state Road 13 between U.S. Highway 91 and Fishburn Drive shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday because the roadway started to cave in around the broken pipeline.
They say it will remain closed in both directions from 1100 South to about 900 South until further notice.
Motorists will have to use alternate routes to access U.S. Interstate 15 from downtown.
The cause of the break is under investigation.
