LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Macedonia man has pleaded not guilty in federal court in Las Vegas in what prosecutors call a worldwide cybercrime identity-theft organization. Jordan Georgievski is accused of selling counterfeit credit cards as part of an identity theft operation that U.S. prosecutors say was responsible for over $50 million in financial losses.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Nevada Highway Patrol says a 58-year-old Nye County woman died during the weekend of injuries she received in a wrong-way crash on State Highway 160 west of Las Vegas. The NHP says Julia Shoup of Pahrump was hospitalized after the Wednesday night crash and died Saturday. Her pickup truck struck a car that had crossed the center line.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is expected to announce today that the International Council of Shopping Centers will keep its annual retail convention called RECon in Las Vegas through at least 2019. The convention was already scheduled to return May 17-20 this year and in 2016 and 2017.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Canadian R&B artist known as The Weeknd was arrested in Las Vegas after police say he hit an officer in the head. Las Vegas Police say 24-year-old Abel Tesfaye was arrested early Saturday in a Las Vegas Strip hotel. He was taken to the Clark County Detention Center, but wasn't listed on the jail roster on Monday.
