CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. (AP) — A 130-year-old upstate New York hotel featured in an episode of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's reality show "Hotel Hell" will be turned into an assisted living residence this year.
The Post-Star of Glens Falls (http://bit.ly/1AukP8h ) reports that Albany-based ICC Management and Consulting Corp. plans to convert the Cambridge Hotel by summer. The company already owns an assisted living center in rural Cambridge, located near the Vermont border 35 miles northeast of Albany.
The historic hotel was sold for about $300,000 to a local bank at a foreclosure auction in June 2012. ICC bought the property for $375,000 in November 2013.
Furniture, antiques and other items from the hotel are being auctioned Feb. 5, with the proceeds to benefit a local church.
Ramsay came to Cambridge in 2012 to shoot an episode for his series "Hotel Hell."
