DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Jordan Sibert scored 20 points, Dyshawn Pierre added 16, and Dayton held off a late Mississippi surge Tuesday night to win 78-74, their 12th straight home win.

Dayton had held a comfortable lead for most of the game, and led 75-65 with 1:42 left as the UD Arena crowd started to pack up.

But the Rebels suddenly stormed back to pull within three points, 77-74, on a three-pointer by guard LaDarius White with 15.5 seconds left.

The Flyers' Pierre made one of two free throws on the ensuing play and the Rebels couldn't get any closer.

The Flyers relied on strong shooting and quick passes that left the Rebels defense a step behind. Kendall Pollard had 12 points and Kyle Davis 11 for Dayton (10-2).

Ole Miss (8-4) pulled within seven points early in the second half, but every time the Rebels threatened, Dayton answered.

Jarvis Summers led Ole Miss with 20 points.
