FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Jordan Mason scored 14 points, Lanerryl Johnson added 12 and Cal State Fullerton rolled past Division II Cal State East Bay for a 77-45 victory on Tuesday night.
The Titans (7-7) shot 45.3 percent from the field, had a 48-32 rebounding advantage, and outscored the Pioneers 30-10 in the paint. CS Fullerton closed the first half on a 13-0 run to lead 33-19 at half. They stormed away for a 50-21 lead with 13:54 remaining.
CS Fullerton sat its starters for most of the second half, as Steve McClellan had 10 points and Alex Harris had eight and four assists with both playing less than 20 minutes. The bench players scored 45 points to match East Bay's total.
The Pioneers were held to 17-of-59 shooting (28.8 percent) and trailed by as much as 36. Patrick Marr led East Bay with 11 points and Jack Pasquini had eight with nine boards.
