CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Ashton Moore scored 20 points and P.J. Horgan chipped in 13 to lead The Citadel past Bethune-Cookman 51-47 on Tuesday night.

Both teams shot just 15 of 45 from the field for 33.3 percent, but The Citadel drained six from long range while Bethune-Cookman hit only 1 of 10.

Moore scored 13 points in the second half and finished with four 3-pointers as the Bulldogs stretched their one-point halftime lead to 46-39 with 3:27 to play.

Moore was 8 of 17 from the field and Horgan finished on 3-of-10 shooting and was 7 of 9 from the line for The Citadel (5-7), who snapped a three-game losing skid. Horgan also had three steals and nine boards, but the Bulldogs were outrebounded by the Wildcats 36-30.

Brandon Stewart scored a career-high 22 points on 6-of-15 shooting, and Ricky Johnson had 10 points to lead Bethune-Cookman (3-10), which has lost four-straight games.
