Stetson eases past Division II Florida Tech 77-61

DELAND, Fla. (AP) — Kyle Sikora and Kentwan Smith scored 15 points apiece and combined for 19 rebounds to help Stetson beat Division II Florida Tech 77-61 on Tuesday.

Sikora made 6 of 8 shots and Smith was 6 of 10 with a career-high 11 boards.

Divine Myles added 14 points for Stetson (4-10) and Wyatt Sikora had 11.

Akeem Johnson scored 19 points, 10 from the free-throw line, for Florida Tech and Chris Carter added 10. The game was an exhibition for the Panthers.

FIT hit three consecutive 3-pointers, two by Sam Daniel, to pull within 36-31 with 59 seconds left in the first half. But Kyle Sikora made two free throws with 12 seconds, Florida Tech took a quick 3-pointer and missed, and Grant Lozoya raced down the floor for a layup and free throw for a 41-31 lead.

Cameron Harvey gave Stetson its largest lead of 20 points with 2:42 left.
